Kalkan Catering is born out of my home kitchen and reflects my passion and genuine love of food and entertaining, it has always been my dream to enjoy the challenge of creating my own business, so here it is – I hope you enjoy our creations as much as I have enjoyed creating them.
While not the most conventional food background the most enjoyable part of my role working as Overseas Manager for luxury and specialist UK tour companies over the last 23 years was food styling for professional photo shoots and catering for our special guests in their private villas, including Miranda Hart and Myleene Klass, although I’m not one to name drop!
I have always had a hand in helping my husband at our scuba diving school, Kalkan Dive Centre, as well as managing a full-time job and running a household- although if the truth be told I can usually be found in my kitchen, concocting new recipes and fusion dishes inspired by my life in Turkey and travelling experiences. I am always looking for an excuse to sample ‘that new’ restaurant, host another dinner party, feed the hungry Herbert’s or bring lunch down to the busy team at the Dive Centre. So,my friends and family have had just about enough and told me it’s time to make this dream a reality.

Our food offers diners a fusion of Turkish and Mediterranean style cooking, many plates have been inspired by my travels and experience living in Turkey for many years whilst others provide the comfort of home.
Our plates always feature fresh, local and seasonal fayre, as much as possible, to ensure quality and support the local economy.
We produce our own olive oil which we infuse with garden grown herbs and we use lemons from our own trees when in season.
